Had an interesting mixed flock of sparrows along Chilesburg Road in Lexington this pm. 6 or 8 each of Eastern Towhees and Fox Sparrows. The only Towhees I got my binoculars on were males but there were several flashing tails in the brush that could have been females. I don't recall seeing that many of either species at one time before. There were also a few White Throated , White Crowned and Song sparrows in the same briar patch. Joe Swanson Lexington
