Both sets of Tree Swallow babies flew on the same day, Sunday the 6th. A 3rd Tree Swallow nest was disrupted weeks earlier when something (or someone) removed the lid from the box. These swallows have restarted and had one egg last time I checked. The 3 young Kestrels are still hunting in the vicinity. Purple Martins have been hanging around for weeks but haven't built a nest. My Martin house has yet to be used by Martins. Alison saw a Martin enter and leave one of the Bluebird houses. She thought it had a bug when it entered. I looked in this box and there was a nest full of baby Titmice. Several Bluebird pairs are working on their 2nd brood. A Grasshopper Sparrow has been singing from a poke weed in the back field.
