Last summer I had a pair of mallards waddle up from from my small pond to eat under the backyard feeder. This week, a pair of Bobwhites have been dining under the feeder at dawn and before dusk. At the same time, Thursday evening, a pair minks came from the fencerow to the pond and flushed a Green Heron, I do not know whether they stole the heron's meal or not.
