A walk around the Nolin campgrounds this afternoon yielded our first robin flocks of the fall, about 50 - 60 birds. Also, we ran into several waves of yellow-rumped warblers, totaling around 25 birds. Our summer flock of chipping sparrows is still with us; we easily counted 20 birds, and there at least as many suspected chipping sparrows further up the road, but they didn't give us a look.
