Yesterday morning I got a very good look at (and pics of) a Yellow-breasted Chat. It seemed to be watching me more intently than I was watching it. I found 2 dead baby Barn Swallows beneath their nest. Felt inside. One chick still there, presumably a cowbird. The Tree Swallows just laid one egg this time and it never hatched. They or something else finally removed it from the nest. Maybe they will try again.
