I made the trip to Wolf Creek Dam this morning to watch the ultralight led Whooping Cranes flyover the dam as they made their grand exit from KY. It was a really neat sight! There was a good number of waterfowl and gulls at the dam, as well.
On the way home a flock of 25 Sandhill Cranes flew over near Nancy, Pulaski. While hiking at Natural Arch this afternoon we again heard Sandhills flying over. That has to be one of my favorite sounds of nature.
