What a beautiful weekend for birding. I drove to Swan Lake in hopes of finding habitat and shorebirds. Neither were very plentiful. A few Least Sandpipers, Killdeer, Egrets, Herons, Martins and Swallows were the highlights. At Westvaco WMA there was habitat but the only added shorebird was a Spotted Sandpiper.
