Swung through the Sauerheber Unit of the Sloughs this morning: there were 88 tundra swans at Wood Tract North around 9:30, along with lots of mallards, pintails, gadwalls, green-winged teal, and shovelers, and one pair of wigeons. There was also a group of 13 least sandpipers and a lesser yellowlegs with a number of killdeers in the muddy fields bordering the water. Also had hooded mergansers at Muddy Slough and a pair of black ducks along J. Dance Rd. (along with lots of the aforementioned dabblers).
