Joan's screeching hawks sound like immature Red-tailed Hawks to me. Their screaming may be in protest of their parents making them find their own food now that they can fly or they may just be trying out their vocal cords. Why ever they do it, someone should tell them it isn't a very good idea. Their incessant screaming makes them easier to find by the few lowlife varmint hunters who haven't gone deaf from the amplified truck mufflers that such types favor.
