CKAS had our third walk on our Spring/Summer schedule on Saturday at Lexington
Cemetery, after which a couple of us went over to McConnell Springs for a quick
look around. The weather was beautiful and we saw some good birds and visited
with old and new friends. Still not a lot of migrants showing up yet, but the
flood gates should open soon. Highlights included a couple of Northern Parula,
Wood Thrush, Hermit Thrush, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Pine Siskins, Northern
Rough-winged Swallow. We also found a couple of Blue-gray Gnatcatchers building
a nest.
