Hi all, After checking in on the Boone Co. kites, I headed back down to MSU for the start of fall semester. I got a good morning of birding in today after move-in yesterday. Minor Clark: 1 immature Little Blue Heron (presumably the same bird reported last week), 1 adult Bald Eagle, and 1 flyover Solitary Sandpiper. Outside of that, it was pretty quiet. I was told pond draining probably won't start until after Labor Day. Cave Run: Approx. 30 Black Terns in varying stages of molt feeding over Cave Run Lake. They were along the stretch of lake between the Zilpo Rec area Beech and the Lakeview Vista overlook. Morehead: 1 Common Nighthawk flying overhead last night. Good birding, Brian Wulker ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos/default.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
