This morning David Lang, Mark Tower and myself birded areas around the Falls of the Ohio most of the shorebirds were in an area down a walking path from the observation deck area called Wave Rock. Observation Deck: Black terns-2 (they did not stay long) Spotted sandpipers -3 Little blue heron-1 (adult) Snowy egret-1 Green heron-2 Bald Eagle-1 Wave Rock: Spotted sandpipers-6 Least-14 Semi plover-13 Semi sandpipers-14 Solitary-1 Lesser yellowlegs-6 Greater yellowlegs-2 Cooper hawk-1 Peregrine-1 Boat Ramp at Hydro area about 1 mile down from Falls of Ohio State Park close to George Rodger Clarks cabin. Black-bellied Plover-1 ( just about in breeding plumage, white under tail) Spotted sandpiper-2 Lesser yellowlegs-2 Peeps 10 to for to I.D.
