Paul Lehman reported in from the north end of LBL ...despite windy,
showery conditions, he has had a great time of it with the following
highlights:

Lake Barkley, Kuttawa overlook ... EARED GREBE

Lake Barkley, Boyd's Landing ... many Bonaparte's Gulls

Lake Barkley, end of Green Road (southeast of the dam) ... RED-NECKED
GREBE; many scaup and assorted divers

Barkley Dam ... 300 American White Pelicans feeding below the dam; 200
or so loafing above; 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (first-year and adult)

Kentucky Dam ... something on the order of 200 Herring Gulls; 3 Lesser
Black-backed Gulls (first-year, late first- or second-year, and adult);
1 first year GLAUCOUS GULL; and a first-year GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL!
FINALLY, some good gulling at the dams!

(NOTE: much flow through both dams is helping in the concentrations of
birds in the tailwaters)

Go, Paul, go!
