I keep forgetting to forward along an observation by John Brunjes, migratory game bird biologist with the Ky Dept of Fish and Wildlife Resources. While conducting a waterfowl survey flight last week, he saw 10 swans on Cave Run Lake ... they were on an extensive area of shallow water in the vicinity of Zilpo Campground with other waterfowl. This area is not that easy to view this time of year, but I thought if anyone was in the vicinity they might check to see exactly what species of swan they are (assuming they have not left). I have walked into the area on the opposite (northeast) side of the lake this time of year where they could probably be viewed. bpb, Frankfort
