[birdky] RPT: Cave Run Lake, 2/6/13 ... no WW Scoter

Eddie Huber and I birded at Cave Run Lake today, mostly in search of the
White-winged Scoter reported yesterday. Brian Wulker looked for it without
success yesterday afternoon and again this morning, and we, too, could not find
it despite excellent conditions for scanning the lake. We looked pretty
carefully from the dam to the Claylick Boat Ramp. Our list of birds included:
Canada Goose
Mallard (25-30)
American Black Duck (3)
Gadwall (1)
Canvasback (8)
Redhead (6) (Clear Creek Lake)
Ring-necked Duck (1)
Lesser Scaup (8)
Bufflehead (20-25)
Common Merganser (1 male)
Ruddy Duck (10-12)
Common Loon 1
Pied-billed Grebe (50+)
Double-crested Cormorant (2)
Horned Grebe (25-30)
American Coot (500+)
Ring-billed Gull (1500-2000)
Herring Gull (at least 1 first-year)
Bonaparte's Gull (20-25+)
Bald Eagle (1 juv)
