I agree wholeheartedly with Rob's suggestions. The Life of Birds is excellent.
Two of my favorite films are Gulf Crossing, which is no longer available on
DVD, but is free online - here's a link.

The second is one called Birders - The Central Park Effect, a one-hour
documentary that takes you through 4 seasons of birding at Central Park with
lots of human interest thrown in.

Subject: [birdky] Question - got recommendations for bird DVDs?
Good day, good bird-loving people. Gotta question for ya.
Do any of you have recommendations for DVDs that would be appropriate for use
as a "bird program?" I'd like to purchase one/more DVDs of up to one-hour
length (shorter duration fine, too) that would be suitable for sharing with
senior citizens and/or school kids. Don't want anything too technical but
something that will foster greater appreciation of birds.
I find 4-hour 2-DVD Audubon program and plenty of "Birds of .... various
states" DVDs (but not KY) and am getting tired of searching - so I'm turning to
you folks for any recommendations. Thank you.
