Most of the ponds have been drained, included to two big ones so there were no Horned Grebes. Also, there weren't quite as many birds as in the past. The only different thing I saw was a White Snow Goose. The Blue Morph is still there. Something flew overhead and sent the shorebirds (one of the only times I could get them all in a drained pond) scrambling and in sheer terror. It had a black head and was smaller than a red-tailed hawk.....falcon perhaps? A quick list: Snow Goose...white and blue morph 15 Greater Yellowlegs (continued to stay in the grass along the edge of two ponds) 3 Dunlin Many Killdeer 3 Pectoral Sandpipers 5 Pied-Billed Grebes Great Blue Herons Canada Geese 1 Coot 2 Blue Winged Teal Mallards Osprey Kestrel 3 Ring Billed Guls Belted Kingfisher Crows Turkey Vultures Starlings Yellow Rumped Warblers Northern Flicker Downy Woodpecker I took some pictures again but not many. However, I have a couple of unusual ones that you might like to see. I've added them to the others. As before, use the slide show at the top and any vertical image needs to be clicked on again to get the full size.
