Thanks for a splendidly run count! A break in the weather made it a fun day
as well.
Other misses might be Snipe, Wood Duck,Chipping Sparrow and a few other
ducks. Lapland and Short-eared Owl are just out of our area.
Lesser Black-backed Gull still at the Causeway this Sunday morning. Maybe
it will stay until it's molt is finished.

Lexington had it's area CBC yesterday. Great turnout, with close to 40
folks participating. We had an amazing 88 species, which is the highest
species count in recent memory for us! Highlights included the lesser
black-backed gull and great egret at the causeway, bald eagle, palm and
orange-crowned warblers. We also got just about all the possible, but
irregulars including winter wren, tree, savannah and fox sparrows, brown
creeper, and red-breasted nuthatch. Only real misses may have been northern
harrier and red-headed woodpecker.
