While Les and I were walking along the Tug Fork of the Big Sandy this
morning, we discovered a female HOODED MERGANZER swimming along with
four MALLARD. She was very obvious right away because of her small size.
She was diving actively all the time that we were observing her. Great
delight and a first!!
