No maintenance has been done to the trails beyond the boardwalk. Water is still
over the trails in spots.
Tremendous amount of trash has washed into the trail system due to being
flooded recently. Glass and plastic bottles, oil quart cans, styrofoam pieces,
children’s toys, etc.
I looked for Bald Eagles in the nesting area. Found 2 nests but saw no Bald
Eagles. Great Blue Herons are on nests in the same area.
After my outing yesterday and today it is apparent that Myrtle Warblers are
arriving in the area form their more southern haunts.
Heavy overcast, south winds.
