For a few minutes tonight in the gusty wind the aerobatics between a male and female Harrier Hawk were unbelievable out at Sinclair S-2. Soaring, tumbling and tangling without effort as the wind was doing all of the work. It was a World War One bi-plane dogfight. At 5 pm it was overcast, drizzling rain and much darker than last night but we were out there just to see if we could get the same or better counts compared to last night. I think Short Ears do not like to get their ears wet as we did not see a single one. And, so it goes. If I could have taken a video of those hawks playing it would have gone global.
