The PAINTED BUNTING was singing in his favorite location.   A female Indigo 
Bunting was carrying food into the thicket below his perch.   One Mississippi 
Kite chick covered with downy feathers is growing up in its nest at Long 
Point.  
Other birds of interest:
Little Blue Herons - 19
Great Egret - 73
American Kestrel -2
Northern Bobwhite -2
Least Tern -6
Eurasian Collared Dove -3
Loggerhead Shrike -1
The swallows are lining up on the wires and sunning in the road.  All 
expected species were seen. 
At Blood River the number of Purple Martins and swallows is increasing daily.
