I stopped at a few birding spots in Fulton County this afternoon. Many of the wet spots are drying up. Lake # 9 was full of Great Egrets, Great Blues and a few Little Blues. A Northern Harrier and Savannah Sparrows were the highlight at Open Pond. A flock of Least Sandpipers was flying around but decided to keep going. The Eagles nest has three large Eaglets watching the traffic go by on the levee. Mississippi Kites, Least Terns and Dickcissels are back in their summer territories.
