While not a lot of birds, but an interesting day.The highlight was watching a Cooper's Hawk catch a Goldfinch off the feeder and take it to a nearby tree where I watched it for almost 30 minutes while it plucked the feathers and ate the bird. Beautiful adult male. It was about 50 ft from my window.
Also a red-bellied nuthatch. \ Others: Mourning doves 4 Blue Jay 1 WB Nuthatch 2 Cardinal 6 RB Towhee 1 WT Sparrow 5 DE Junco 3 House finch 2 Purple finch 2 (one each M and F).
