Thanks Danny. Glad you felt the early morning was worth it. I received some photos from the flyover from Tony Harvey and posted them to the Field Journal late yesterday. He also sent a link to an article in the magazine. If you go to www.columbiamagazine.com you can see it. Joe said it was the worst migration leg in recent memory, and when he says something like that it must have been bad. They darn near froze and he said their fingertips were turning white by the time they landed. Think some of that white could have been 'white knuckle' too from his description of the flight. Whew - glad that's not MY job. Appreciate the good wishes, and please tell everyone again for us how grateful we are for their help. This morning when I spoke to Bev she said the folks at the Hatchery had to be some of the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people they've encountered on the migration. She was particularly grateful to Amanda for giving her alternate driving directions. You can tell her Bev was delighted with the new route. Liz: It has been awhile since I have seen 4:30AM. But our drive from Frankfort yesterday morning was filled with anticipation to see OM in action. We had at least 15 viewers maybe more attend the event. They were scattered out and some chose not to meet with us at the hatchery parking lot. I must say it was a grand opportunity. Especially since the crew flew right over us on departure. There was a reporter there from a local publication (Columbia Magazine) taking pictures for his story. I will try to contact him and have him get in touch with you. The crew must love what they do. I couldn't begin to accomplish what OM does, too dangerous! I don't think most people understand just how dangerous it is. Best wishes throughout the remainder of your journey and God's Speed, Danny.
