On my morning farm circle today, I saw the first cottontail rabbit I have seen
since I can’t even remember when. I know that a cottontail rabbit isn’t a bird,
but I was so delighted to see one, I had to share it with some folks who might
appreciate how cottontail populations have decreased as more and more land is
row cropped with fewer and fewer fence lines of any sort separating fields.
