I spent about an hour this morning along Maple Ln (in Cherokee Park) where the
new boardwalk is. Had a great time birding!

Brown Creeper (1)
Scarlet Tanager (male)
Prothonotary Warber (male)
Yellow Belly Sapsucker (male)
Purple Finch (pair)
Parula Warbler (male)
Bank Swallow (several)
Yellow Rumped Warber (several)

I also thought I saw a Ruby Crowned Kinglet, then I realized it was a little
large, so I'm not sure if it was a Vireo or Wabler. I also saw all of the
regulars, Chickadee, Titmouse, Gnatcather, Cardinals, Robins...

I have birded in Cherekee Park for several years and this was the first for a
Scarlet Tanager and the Prothonotary for me, so I was pretty excited!
