What a fabulous day to be birding! We located 13 species of warblers today at Mammoth Cave National Park along with many other returning migrants. Highlights include:

Broad-winged Hawks
Great Crested Flycathcher
White-eyed Vireo
Yellow-thr. Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Northern Parula
Yellow-r. Warbler
Yellow-thr. Warbler
Pine Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Cerulean Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Prothonotary
Worm-eating
Ovenbird
La. Waterthrush
C. Yellowthroat
Hooded Warbler
Indigo Bunting

Our total count for the day was 55 species.

When we returned home we found much to our delight that a male Ruby-thr. Hummingbird was visiting our feeder.

Enjoy the beauty of the birds during this beautiful season of the year.
