Yesterday (Friday) was a good day at my feeders. Census: Mourning Dove 10 Downy Woodpecker 1 Red Bellied Woodpecker 1 Blue Jay 2 White-Breasted Nuthatch 2 Red-Breasted Nuthatch 1 Eastern Bluebird 10 Starling only 1 Cardinal 8 R-S Towhee 1 WT Sparrow 10 Chipping Sparrow 1 House Finch 10 Goldfinch 9 CarolIna Chickadee 2 Tufted Titmouse 3 Carolina Wren 1The Cooper's Hawk was hanging out in the neighborhood, but didn't come to the yard while I was watching. I have not seen a Common Grackle since last Spring. I am also not seeing any with the huge flocks of blackbirds around town. Any ideas why.
