The shift in winds really helped the number of warbler species that we saw today. Yesterday, we had to hunt high and low trying to find birds. We had our first of season Swainson Thrush. The hummingbirds have fledged from the nest. We saw one bird outside the nest yesterday and both were gone today. Warblers seen today - GOLDEN-WINGED - beautiful male that provided us with great looks Magnolia Redstart Tennessee Blue-winged Black-and-white Chestnut-sided Blackburnian C. Yellowthroat Parula - very vocal Black-throated Green Other birds of interest were Red-eyed Vireos and Yellow-billed Cuckoos. Nice day of birding.
