Hi Birders,
Les and I were awakened a couple of nights ago by a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD at
3:53 A M. It was only about 15 feet from our open bedroom windows, so its
"song" came into the bedroom loud and clear. Thank goodness it went to the
upper end of the yard (200 ft. away) last night. He usually takes a couple
of breaks in between his serenades. He really has the phoebe song down pat!
"BIRDS THIS WEEK": CERULEAN WARBLER, EASTERN MEADOWLARK,
WOODTHRUSH(H9WONDERFUL TO SEE ANDHEAR) , BARN SWALLOWS, EASTERN PHOEBE,
BLUE WINGED WARBLER, BROAD WINGED HAWK, PILEATED WOODPECKER, BLUE HEADED
VIREO, ROUGH WINGED SWALLOWS, TREE SWALLOWS, YELLOW THROATED WARBLER, OVEN
BIRD, CANADA GEESE ALONG WITH THE USUAL SUSPECTS.
