Speaking of Hummingbirds, our quest speaker for the fall KOS meeting
will be Bob and Martha Sargent.

The meeting is scheduled for the weekend of September 30/October 2 at
Pine Mt State Resort Park. We were last there in the fall of 2004, and
had some gorgeous weather and wonderful birding. We had a particularly
beautiful view one morning of the fog pouring over the gap from the west
to east, from atop what I believe is called Pinnacle Overlook.

Recently I took a photo of a nestling Ruby-throated Hummingbird perched
on the side of its nest in Boyle Co. near Danville. There were actually
two nestlings...you can barely see the tip of the bill of the second
hummer just to the left of the main subject.
