Dave Svetich and I went out to Spindletop, UK's Maine Chance Farm, just north
of
Lexington for a little new year's birding. Nothing out of the ordinary, except
for the Rough-legged Hawk, which appears to be hanging around. We chased and
scanned blackbird flocks for Rusty's, a horned lark flock for longpurs and
buntings and Canada Gesse for Cackling with no luck. It was still great to get
out, we had a nice sunny day.
