Antonio and I birded Hisle Park this morning. No Henslow's sparrows, but we did
have a black-billed cuckoo among other more common birds. I sure hope the town
comes through with its prairie restoration proposal there.

It seems I'm engaging in an annual summer search for a Henslow's sparrow. My
success has been pretty poor thus far this season. No sparrows on the Orange
trail of Raven Run back at the end of April (?too early). No Henslow's at Camp
Nelson on the ASK walk earlier this month. Last week I couldn't find any of the
birds on the West lot trail at Shaker Village (where it's been reported in the
past). I'm running out of options, certainly in Fayette county. I was going to
try Hisle Park (i.e. Briar Hill Park) on the north side of town this week
(Thursday or Friday maybe). Anyone want to join me? Has anyone had any better
success with finding Henslow's?
