Betsy & I completed our Breeding Bird Survey Rout this past Thursday (June
7th).
Our route (39-120 Million 2) runs south from the Valley View Ferry (south of
Lexington). We had a total of 61 species, including six that we had to write in
(Mallard, Ruby-thr Hummingbird, Belted Kingfisher, Red-headed Woodpecker, Hairy
Woodpecker, Northern Parula). We did not get the Dickcissel this year. The
field
that they were in last year had already been cut.
