Nice. My step son, who lives in Winterville NC which is southeast of Raleigh,
Had a FOS female Baltimore Oriole. I usually don’t start seeing them until
November. I live 45 minutes south of him.

I saw 36 species here on our property yesterday with two being First Of the
Season birds – Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Hermit Thrush.
Some Warblers continue to pass through, though it does seem a bit late for
them. There were Tennessee, Magnolia, Palm and Yellow-rumped.
The two Mockingbirds that have been here for more than a week are still here.
It’s nice to see those white wing flashes that I’m not used to seeing here.
The thrushes are still coming through also. Aside from the Hermit Thrush I had
both Swainson’s and Wood Thrushes, but their numbers are dropping with each
day’s passing. This is the first day in a few weeks I haven’t seen or heard
Gray-cheeked Thushes.
I haven’t seen a hummingbird in the last few days. I suppose they are gone
until next spring.
Here is the day’s complete list of the birds found.
