Monday, Jan. 14 at 6:00 p.m. is our scheduled meeting for this month. I have
been holding off announcing it, waiting to see what the weather would do,
and to see if our guest speaker, Garrett Rhyne, would be able to make it.
Lynda and I have been in communication with him, and it now looks like we
will have good weather conditions, so the meeting, and his appearance is a
go. Garrett is a Field Technician at the Conservation Management Institute
at VA Tech, and has been studying the Swainson's Warbler in our area. He
will be presenting a program about his study. It promises to be a really
interesting program, and I encourage anyone, bird club members or anyone
interested to come to hear Garrett's presentation.
We are meeting Garrett at 4:30 Monday evening for dinner at Bellacino's in
Grundy. Please come join us in welcoming Garrett to our meeting. I'm sure
there will be some interesting birding conversation.
