This documentary really sounds promising. Having birded the sagebrush in Utah
and Nevada, there truly are a lot of bird species that are very unique

Dear Friend,

It’s sometimes called "The Big Empty," but it’s actually full of life—including
one of the most spectacular dancing birds in North America.

Watch or set your DVR for your local PBS station to watch the Cornell Lab of
Ornithology documentary “The Sagebrush Sea” tonight on PBS Nature at 8/7c
(check local listings). This one-hour film explores the diversity of life
throughout the sagebrush ecosystem through the eyes of the Greater Sage-Grouse,
a bird that performs a fantastical, chest-puffing mating display and then
disappears into the sage with a burst of fluttering wings. Watch the trailer
for a sneak peek.

Produced over three years by the Cornell Lab’s multimedia productions program,
“The Sagebrush Sea” is the untold story of a species, its wild neighbors, and
the incredible ecosystem in which more than 350 species thrive.

Full-scale documentaries like this one are only possible thanks to the Cornell
Lab's generous network of members and donors. Thank you for helping make The
Sagebrush Sea a reality.
