We are just about finished. At Live Oak, we are moving out of the library to
allow renovations to happen over the summer. Our facilities director hired a
moving company that came in with carts on casters and carefully took everything
off the shelf in order and labelled each section. They seemed to know what they
were doing. It was done in about 3 hours with several guys working. I can get
the name of the company for you if you’d like. The carts were wrapped in
plastic and put into storage for the summer, and it should be pretty easy to
put everything back. (I hope!) The week prior to today’s book move, we had a
full out effort with many parent volunteers helping inventory, clean and repair
the collection. Melissa and I went through as we inventoried and pulled out
books to weed. We made it through an inventory of about 8000 books! Good luck!
