In celebration of Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage month, the Asian
American Studies Department at San Francisco State University and the
Association of Chinese Teachers (TACT) and in collaboration with the San
Francisco Library have organized a fair for children and their families.
This year's theme focuses on APIA women who have contributed to the making
of America. There will be an APIA Women Wall of Fame displaying over 30
portraits drawn by AAS students, various related arts and crafts activities
for children, teenagers and adults alike, and a children's book exhibition
of APIA women biographies, including books authored by APIA women for all
ages. In addition to a variety of free handouts and an APIA women's reading
list to kick off everyone's summer reading, the first 50 children ages 12
and under will receive a complimentary goody bag.

This event is partially funded by Irene Poon and the late Laura Lai.

Event Date:

Saturday, May 16, 2015 - 10:00am to 12:30pm
