If you've got a teacher with whom you'd like to work on NHD, this might be
just the thing. It gives you a structured, manageable, clear way to work
together. The teachers and librarians you meet are really diverse and fun.
The June 2022 contest is face to face in Maryland. Often the attendees add
extra days to explore DC and I'm told the Smithsonian National Museum of
African American History and Culture is worth the visit.
I've been a judge at the nationals on and off and have gotten to meet some
amazing librarians from around the country and from the archives in and
around DC
