Hi Christiana,
We have a Lower School Library which is currently unstaffed (I am NOT happy
about this), so the teachers have to take their classes and do the check in and
out. I provided a training for this and have recruited a group of 6 high school
volunteers who go down to shelve the books periodically. It is not a good
situation and I have been begging them to fill the half time Lower School
position. I have Academic Prep classes (basically a study hall) in the Upper
School Library all day, so cannot leave except when I close for lunch. In
addition to my Library duties, I order all textbooks and academic materials for
the school and also coordinate the IB Diploma Extended Essay. I am also the
National Honor Society mentor, so I am very busy. This is not a complaint as I
love working here and the students and staff are fabulous, but I sure could use
some help. Just thought you might want a fuller picture.

thinking about the general landscape among Bay Area Independent Schools. What
kind of support staff do we currently have? Please consider completing this
