Subject: [AZ-Observing] Time-lapse View of Giant Prominence Today
Monster prominence on the limb of the sun today. This time-lapse sequence
covers 40 minutes of activity in 21 frames. Using the Earth's diameter of 8000
miles for a scale, the size of the arch is nearly 50,000 miles, and velocities
exceed 100,000 miles per hour.
