Star Party Announcement Please join us for the 37th Annual SAC Fall Public Star Party at Thunderbird Conservation Park in Glendale AZ on Saturday, October 4, 2014. The event will be sponsored by Glendale Parks and Recreation Department and hosted by the Saguaro Astronomy Club. Members of the club will have telescopes large and small set up and available for public viewing from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm (sunset 6:09 pm). Get there early and see some solar observing. They will show a variety of astronomical objects including the Moon, Planets, Stars, Galaxies, and Deep Sky Wonders. Club volunteers will be glad to answer questions you may have about the heavens and astronomy in general. Weather permitting, the event is free. Please join us for a night under the stars! Directions: To get to Thunderbird Park in Glendale, take Loop 101 to 67th Ave and go north 1 1/2 miles to Patrick Lane (just past Mountain Ridge High School).
