Funny you mention the "neighbor's patio lights", that seems to be my present
problem after I moved in here a month ago. I haven't met the neighbors, who
moved in the same time as me, on that side yet and have only seen them once
since I moved in. They must have a dusk-to-dawn on their back porch light,
because it consistently shines over the wall onto my house eaves and trees
all night every night and is one of those cheap glass jar types. My plan of
attack is to meet them, when that ever happens, and then ask how they are
doing, and hope they ask how I'm doing. At that point I can say fine, but
your back porch light really glares. Then I can find out why they feel it
has to be on all the time. They may then offer to leave it off. If not, I'll
have to offer a solution, such as saying there is a kind of porchlight that
will flood their backyard with light but doesn't light up the sky, and then
buying them a Glarebuster and installing it for them. Ace Hardware has them
for $75. I just hope they are reasonable.
