Chris, as always a nice image and brings back a nice sentimental journey, or observation. My records indicate its observation, with an 8" telescope, was extremely faint with a low surface brightness. With averted vision and moments of good seeing there were 15 stars. My last attempt on this object with the 12.5" was with hypered film, and yielded an unresolved circular haze with no details even after several hours of exposure. This new shot with the ST10xme and the same telescope trounces that shot: http://www.schursastrophotography.com/ccdimagepages/ngc6822.html Comments?
