Jenn's confluence aka Polakis 1, a confluence of two star rivers in M24 that
point to M17, contains triple star HJ 594  RA 8h 13m 21s  Dec -18d47', at 17
arcminutes in size it is a great small telescope target but not easily
discernible in binoculars.

Howdy all;

OK, I have a candidate so we can start the conversation of what there is =
to
put into the database for asterisms. Gene, I will not need to delete
anything, this will simply be the 114th object in the SAC asterisms
database.

So, Jennifer's Confluence (sp?) is at 18h 16.5m and -18d 52m as far as I =
can
figure from a place within M 24 that is a spot where two rather =
prominent
chains of stars come close to one another. The entire asterism is about =
17
arcminutes in size. Let me know if I am on the right track. Input from
Jennifer, did you spot it in binoculars, so are we looking at bright =
stars?

Clear skies;
Steve Coe
