Hi All, Here's a photo I took of Coddington's Nebula, A.K.A. IC 2574, which is a dwarf irregular galaxy located in the M81/M82 group. I took it from McDowell Mountain park, which has more light pollution than I'm used to. This galaxy has a highly studied supergiant shell region (on the right in this image) that is still expanding. http://www.christensenastroimages.com/galaxies/ic2574.htm Jon Christensen -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
