Steve, Comet Linear is a couple of degrees south of Sirius on the 22nd. Neat will be about midway between M44 and the bowl of the big dipper. Arizona Observers; I am just starting to get good with a planetarium program and one of the skills I don't have yet is how to enter the coordinates and orbit info on a comet. So, my question for those with more skill than I, is.....do I have a chance at seeing Comet Linear just after sunset this week? I am considering a trip out on Thursday evening. While we are doing this, will Comet NEAT be near the Big Dipper for this weekend....yet another photoop? KODAK stock is skyrocketing;-)) Just wondering; Steve Coe Author "Deep Sky Observing--The Astronomical Tourist" Saguaro Astronomy Club website www.saguaroastro.org<http://www.saguaroastro.org/> -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
