Awesome contrast Chris! I can't believe how dark the sky between the stars appears. The zodiacal band looks almost like the Milky Way I saw at the GC Star Party this summer. When I moved to New River 15 years ago, both objects could be seen easily. These days, I enjoy these sights vicariously through great photos like yours. It was taken in Winton Australia, and readily shows the Gegenschien as a very bright patch, and with this image as well, you can directly compare the Magellenic clouds with M31. I noticed that the core of M31 appears very yellow while the LMC appears more white. > > http://www.schursastrophotography.com/xtiastro/winton08-5.html > > Comments? > > Chris > > > > -- > See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please > send personal replies to the author, not the list. > > -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
